Second Stop – Yosemite National Park

First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.

El Capitan is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park. The granite monolith is about 3,000 feet (914 m) from base to summit along its tallest face, and is a popular objective for rock climbers.

Yosemite National Park is an American national park located in the western Sierra Nevada of Central California. The park is managed by the National Park Service and covers an area of 3,029 km2.
